The Gardens of Pittsfield, Massachusetts
in the Heart of the Berkshires

The 2009 Pittsfield Garden Tour will be held on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19. Tickets are currently on sale.

Seven beautiful, inspirational gardens have been chosen to be on exhibit for this year's tour. In addition, the AIDS garden at the American Red Cross, 480 West St., will be part of the Tour.

Come to the Tour for inspiration, to meet new friends, to experience joy and to feed your soul. Come to the Tour to be enchanted and to be touched by magic. Come to the tour to honor the sanctity of our Earth.

Some of what you will see:

  • waterfalls rippling into Koi ponds bringing peace and tranquility
  • hundreds of varieties of day lillies on a hillside garden with beautiful views
  • beautifully decorated “garden rooms” that you’ll want to wander through
  • antique construction toys used as garden ornaments
  • a flagstone patio “grouted” with wild thyme
  • a formal garden that leads to a “walk on the wild side” in the woods
  • a garden that ends at the lake’s edge and is bordered by ornamental grasses
  • a magical and enchanting garden with fantastic rock formations
  • beautifully decorated birdhouses that are wildly sought after
  • a garden that is only 6/10ths of a mile from Park Square
  • a garden dedicated to the victims of AIDS
